Manchester Unites cohesion programme

We are delighted to have been funded by Manchester city council to work in partnership with Al-Hilal CiC to deliver an exciting, innovative community cohesion e-magazine for the City.

Young people from the Cheetham and Crumpsall wards will take part in writing the content, design and publication of this e-magazine. It will focus on belonging, civic participation, valuing other cultures and young people’s aspirations for the ward.

Aside from exploring the different facets of community life and belonging in the wards; young people will also learn key research, teamwork and interviewing skills.

Said the Director of The Flowhesion Foundation, Imam Abdul Hafeez Siddique; ‘ we are delighted that this innovative e-magazine has been rolled out to Manchester as it has been an extremely innovative model for young people to learn about community cohesion in Bolton over the last few years.

Said Sandra Wong CEO of Al-Hilal CiC ‘We are grateful to be working with our partners including Manchester City Council’s community safety partnership to ensure that today’s young people are nurtured to become members of tomorrow’s communities that are safe, prosperous and welcoming ‘.

Keep an eye out for more pictures  and updates here as the programme progresses!
