Flowhesion is delighted to announce that it is a sponsor of the Sporting Equals Awards for the next three years, marking an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to equality, inclusion, and community cohesion through sport.

Sport has long been recognised as one of the most powerful tools for bringing people together, beyond competition, sport creates shared experiences that transcend social, cultural, and economic divides. It offers spaces where individuals from different backgrounds can connect, collaborate, and develop a sense of belonging. In doing so, it strengthens not only individuals but entire communities, fostering environments where collective success is possible. That is why we are so excited about this! Speaking on the significance of the sponsorship, Omar Issa, Flowhesion’s Sports Inclusion Lead, highlighted the broader vision “At Flowhesion we want communities to live better, feel better, and achieve more. Supporting these awards matters because they celebrate not just sporting success, but the power of sport to build fairer, more connected communities,” he said.

Tim Masih National Partnerships Manager for Sporting Equals commenting on the sponsorship added ‘We are delighted to have Flowhesion on board as Sponsors this year, it’s great to have the organisation continue their work with us after winning the Sport England Community Sports Project of the Year Award at The Sporting Equals Awards 2024. We are excited to see the long-term impact of this partnership.’
Flowhesion itself has been an associate member of Sporting Equals for a number of years and delivers a wide range of sporting activities across Greater Manchester through an informal network of sports hubs and clubs, working at grassroots level to ensure access to inclusive, high-quality opportunities. Its impact was recognised nationally in 2024, when it was named Sport England’s Community Sports Project of the Year for the Halliwell Girls Sports Hub, a programme that has become a beacon of empowerment, participation, and positive change in Bolton.

Imam Abdul Hafeez Siddique Founder and CEO of Flowhesion echoed this sentiment, emphasising the importance of visibility and representation. He noted that being a sponsor of the awards for the next three years alongside other organisations and being a part of the final shortlisting panel is both an honour and a responsibility, reinforcing the need to recognise excellence wherever it exists. “Visibility matters,” he added. “It challenges stereotypes, inspires future generations, and affirms that talent and leadership in sport exist across all communities. By celebrating these achievements, we contribute to a more inclusive sporting culture one where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered to succeed.”
